This website was established in 2004 in memory of our father, John Wilder Bowden (7/11/1926 - 9/21/2003) and our brother, Patrick Daniel Bowden (4/28/1959 - 8/9/2003 ).

Their impact on this world is so much more than a name engraved on a tombstone. The data herein is a tribute to their memories and their place in our Bowden family lineage.

Briefly: Michael Bowden came to America from Ireland in the mid 1800's. He married Bridget O'Toole. Thier son John Bowden settled in Spring Valley, Minnesota, where he married a Scotch woman named Clara Wilder. They had three children, George (b 1900), Margaret, and Frances.

George Kenney Bowden married Irma Provinski Bowden and moved to Chicago, Illinois. They had one son, John Wilder Bowden. He later married Leora Lewis and moved to New York and Washington, DC.

In 1952 John Wilder Bowden married Helen Louise Cornelius and they had four children. The youngest, Patrick Daniel Bowden (4/2/59 - 8/9/03).....
